Maama had spells with Celtic Warriors, Harlequins, IBM Big Blue in Japan and Cardiff Blues, he joins from Rugby San Donà in Italy. Maama, 6'5" (196cm) and 17st (108kg), can play anywhere in the back five of the pack

Capped for Ireland at U18 & U19 he played for Ampthill for two seasons in National 2 scoring 34 tries and recording 54 appearances. Signed to Moseley in the Championship for 2015-16 where he made 11 appearances scoring 1 try he had just established himself in the match day squad when his season ended before Christmas through injury.

With a total of 19 appearances in National 1 including 15 for Ampthill and 4 for Cinderford he is a familiar face to the Ampthill supporters.

Syd has two caps for Wales U20 earned in the most recent JRWC.

Flanker Matthew, 28 and single, is a product of the Ampthill Mini and Youth system. He lives in St. Albans and was a member of the 2006 RFU National U17s Cup winning squad.

A former member of Northampton Saints Academy he spent two years playing for Ballymena in the All Ireland League. Last season Matthew made 28 appearances scoring 12 trys.

Prop Jack, 23, 1.83m (6ft), 116kg (18st3lb), re-joins from Bedford Blues for whom he made 18 appearances in the Championship and B&I cup before injury curtailed his season.

As well as representing Saracens 3 times in the LV cup he has been capped for England Counties and has represented both Hertfordshire and East Midlands in the county cup.

Jack is a familiar face having made made 17 appearances for Ampthill in National 1 in 2015/16.

Born in Tofoa 38 years ago, Aleki has 45 caps for Tonga including the 2007, 2011 & 2015 Rugby World Cups. Capped 7 times for the Pacific Islanders his 6ft 0in (1.83m), 17st 4lb (110kg) frame has seen him renowned for his ball carrying and abrasive tackling at every level.

Aleki’s career includes 278 appearances in first class rugby including 36 for the Chiefs, 168 for Warriors, 15 for Reivers and 14 for Gloucester.

Aleki joined Ampthill after the 2015 RWC and made 25 appearances last season scoring 6 tries.

Kevin Barretts Premiership career began in 1999 with London Irish and include spells with Saracens and Exeter, he was also a member of the England 7s squad in 19 IRB 7s tournaments.

Having left Exeter at the end of May 2013 he re-joined Saracens as a strength and conditioning coach and joined Ampthill as specialist scrum half and fitness coach who will play the occasional game.

Full Back Karim, 27 (183cm, 94kg), joined Ampthill for season 2014/15 from Bournemouth. Educated at St. Peters School, Bournemouth and Southampton University he works as a Project Manager in the construction industry.

Representing his county, Dorset &amp;amp; Wilts, at every age group from U11 through U20 he was a member of the County Shield winning senior side at Twickenham in both 2010 &amp;amp; 2011. He has played in both Canada &amp;amp; New Zealand where his season for Varsity was ended prematurely by a dislocated elbow which he counts as his worst rugby moment.
