147 days after winning the National One title away at Loughborough Students, our 1st XV cross the whitewash again for the club’s first-ever Championship Cup fixture!
Old friends Coventry Rugby Club are the visitors to Dillingham Park for what we’re sure will be an exciting game. Coventry will bring a very strong squad with lots of Championship and Premiership experience after significant investment in their playing squad during the offseason.
This will be a real test of the A’s credentials after a complete reset of the rugby program under the new coaching team headed by Paul Turner.
New forwards player-coach Dave Ward has arrived from Harlequins and new backs player-coach Daryl Veenendaal has arrived from Nottingham Rugby. Both of the new player-coaches are looking forward to their first season at Dillingham Park.
Tickets are still available to purchase online via the club website. An advance purchase will offer a £2.50 saving per ticket and speed up your entry into the Grange Jaguar-Land Rover Bowl!
You will be able to buy a ticket on the day at our Box Office which is alongside the Clubhouse. Tickets are £15.00 for Adult Non-Members, £10 for Adult Members & Senior Citizens or £5 for Non-Member Youths (13-18). Under 13’s are free with an adult.
All pedestrian entry into the Grange Jaguar-Land Rover Bowl will be via the club carpark on Woburn Street. You will not be able to access the ground directly from Coopers Hill or Station Road. We kindly remind all visitors that the A507 entrance is solely for Official and Emergency Vehicles.

Parking will be £5 per car – you will be given a ticket to display on your dashboard. Please help us as a club by not parking on the grass verge along Woburn Street.
As you enter Dillingham Park you will see our clubhouse and our new ‘Hague Sports Bar’ alongside the clubhouse where you will be able to enjoy a full range of draft beers and use your club membership cards for a discount. Please may we respectfully ask that the main clubhouse is kept to players and match officials until 5:30pm so they can be fed post-match.
At the pitches you will be able to purchase from the new ‘CJ Drylining Bar’ and for the real ale fans, you will be able to use the new GP Real Ale Bar.
This is the clubs first game at this level of competition. Whilst the Committee has been working really hard throughout the offseason to make sure all our members, supporters and Coventry members and fans have a great day out, we’re sure we will have made some errors so please be patient whilst we try to rectify any issues on the day.
We look forward to seeing you and hope that you enjoy the game! Come on you A’s!
