Kwaku Asiedu & Karim Lynch Join The Championship Squad
Head Coach Paul Turner is delighted to confirm that wing Kwaku Asiedu & fullback Karim Lynch have joined Ampthill for the Championship.
Wing Kwaku, 25, joins from Coventry from where he was on loan last season at Cambridge scoring 12 tries in 23 appearances. As a youth he was a sprinter recording 100m in under 11s.
Kwaku comments “I am pleased to join Ampthill and am committed to contribute to the Championship campaign to the best of my ability”
Fullback Karim, 30, having made 90+ appearances for Ampthill between 2014 and 2018 rejoins for the Championship after a season playing for Bournemouth.
Karim comments “I’m pleased to rejoin Ampthill where I have many good memories, I am looking forward to the challenge of playing at Championship level.”
Head Coach Paul Turner comments “Kwaku caused us all sorts of problems last year whilst he was on loan at Cambridge. We have a number of areas where we believe we can improve his game and are delighted he has joined us for the coming season.”
Karim is a bit of a legend locally playing a key part in Ampthill’s progress through the leagues but work took him away from the area last season where he played for Bournemouth.
He is noted for his exceptional defence and ability under the high ball which I think will be very important as we embark on our first season in the Green King IPA Championship.”
