Following the conclusion of the community rugby season last weekend, it has now been confirmed that our 1881s have again won the Halbro-Raging Bull Shield Division One, reclaiming the shield from rivals Richmond Vikings, that we last won in the 2022-23 season.
The 1881s played 14 games in the 2024-25 season, winning 11 and finished with a points difference of +225!
Head Coach, Gavin Williams said “I’m proud of our achievement, it’s been a difficult season with some long breaks in between games. I’d like to thank all the players for their commitment to the 1881s especially the younger lads coming up from the Academy and playing their first season of senior rugby. I’d also like to thank Tommy (Paul Turner) for all that he’s taught me over past few years as part of the senior coaching group, plus Shaun and Steve for the work they do in getting us ready for games”
