Mob to Host Warriors in Pre-Season Friendly at Dillingham Park
Ampthill Rugby Club is excited to announce a pre-season fixture against Worcester Warriors, to take place at Dillingham Park on Sat 13th September, Kick-Off 3pm.
The clash promises to be a landmark occasion for both clubs, as it marks the debut of Ampthill’s new Head Coach, Dave Ward, and the first game in nearly three years for Worcester Warriors, now led by Matt Everard.
This match will offer fans a first glimpse of Ward’s vision for Ampthill as the club builds towards the upcoming Champ Rugby season. Dave Ward brings a wealth of Premiership and coaching experience to the Mob, and the Warriors fixture will be the first major step in a new era for the Mob.
For Worcester Warriors, the match represents a significant milestone with their return to professional rugby post going into liquidation. This game marks their official return to competitive rugby since Sept 2022. Under the guidance of Everard, the Warriors will be eager to showcase their renewed identity after significant investment in the playing squad.
“We are delighted to welcome Worcester Warriors to Dillingham Park” said Dave Ward “It’s a special fixture—not just for us as we start our journey together, but also for Worcester as they make their long-awaited return.
