Tony (pictured top above Richard Dillingham) died peacefully in the early hours of November 4th. A founder member of the Club, he played in the first-ever match in The Great Park, Woburn Road aged just 16. Tony was a terrific player and played under Norman Brown for the 1st XV throughout the 1950s and beyond for teams throughout the Club. He kept statistics and memorabilia of the early periods of the Club’s history which were invaluable contributions to the History of Ampthill Rugby Club which is to be published in due course.
