The under 11 squad has had a decent season and the players can all be proud of their combined and personal achievements over the season.
The squad has made improvements in all aspects of their rugby and it is pleasing for the coaches to see their hard work coming to fruition on the pitch. On the pitch we had a strong start and finished a credible 3 rd at Peterborough but despite the improvements we didn’t fare so well in the Beds Cup nor Mobbs but we did learn some valuable lessons from these tournaments and this was evident to see when the boys played a season ending tournament at Wellingborough against all the Northamptonshire clubs where they won the tournament scoring 22 tries on the day and conceding none. This victory was not just down
to the players on the day but the squad as a whole as without all our players taking part
throughout the season we would not have made the improvements we have.
Tour this year was a tremendous success both on and off the park and thank you to all that took part and played their part in making it so enjoyable. These types of events don’t just happen so I would like to thank Leeann Ackerman for all her hard work in making sure this year’s tour went smoothly. Thanks also need to go to the team Administrator Lona Hennigan for all her hard work behind the scenes and the tireless chasing of parents to do the wonderful job of duties on a Sunday – so thank you parents.
Lastly I would like to thank all the coaches for the hard work, patience and dedication to the cause throughout the season as without you there would be no team. Unfortunately we have to say goodbye to some of our players and we would like to thank Maisie Foster and Ethan Standen for their contributions and wish them well for their futures.
We now look forward to a well-deserved break and coming back next season refreshed, reinvigorated and ready for another great season.
