The U14’s and their coaches are in for a busy weekend!
Firstly on Saturday afternoon, and prior to the 1st XV game with Cornish Pirates, the boys will be attempting to “Row to Wales”! The boys are going on tour to North Wales in May and have decided to collectively row the equivalent distance, some 300km!
Each member of the squad will row for a minimum of 12 minutes in 3x4min blocks. It should help their rugby fitness more than X-Box too! They’ll be doing this in The Hague Bar from 11:00 and would really appreciate your support. If you’d like to help them fund their tour and some new kit then please put some beer change in a bucket or you can donate online at gf.me/u/v6k2i5
Hopefully they won’t wear themselves out too much, as on Sunday morning the U14’s face Luton RFC in the East Midlands Cup Final. Kick-Off is 11:30 at Bedford Athletic RFC on the 4G pitch – it would be great to see some of our members there cheering them on! Reaching the final itself is a massive achievement for the players and coaches – including ex-1st XV Captain Spavs who needs to race back to Dillingham Park for his own Semi-Final with the Jets in the afternoon.
Come on you A’s!
