Ampthill travel to the Butts Park Arena to face old rivals Coventry in Round 13 of The Championship on Saturday with both sides looking to return to winning ways after a three week break in fixtures.
Head Coach Paul Turner makes six changes to the matchday twenty-three that played Nottingham at Dillingham Park last time out.
The front row is unchanged with Dom Hardman and James Johnston packing down either side of hooker Samson Adejimi. After some strong performances in the 1881s, Griff Evans makes his first appearance of 2024 alongside Joe Peard in the engine room. Iwan Shenton arrived on loan from Scarlets during the break in games and makes his Mob debut on the blind side of the back row with Izzy Moore-Aiono retuning on the openside and club captain Morgan Strong at number eight.
Turner makes three changes in the back division with both Fraser Strachan and Oli Morris returning to the midfield. Ex-Coventry man Pete White and Gwyn Parks continue in the half-backs whilst in the back line Francis Moore comes in for Tobias Elliot on the right wing with Ben Harris on the left and Tom Bacon at full back.
Looking ahead to the game, Turner said “ Coventry are always tough opponents and we’ll need to be at our best to get the result we want”
