Ampthill Rugby Club is proud to announce a new partnership with the UK’s leading online car retailer, cinch. The agreement sees cinch become a Main Partner of the club, featuring prominently on playing and training kit, while also securing naming rights for the newly unveiled cinch Stand.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in the club’s continued development and reflects its ambitions both on and off the field as it continues to establish itself as one of the leading community rugby clubs in Champ Rugby.
Known for taking the faff out of finding, buying, and owning a car, cinch has become one of the UK’s most recognisable consumer brands through its involvement in sport since its inception in 2020.
The partnership was officially launched at a special event on Sunday 4 October, attended by club members, players, and mini & youth participants, marking the opening of the cinch Stand and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Ampthill Rugby Club.
The investment reflects Ampthill Rugby Club’s continued commitment to producing the most professional community rugby club in RFU pyramid. Over recent years, the club has earned a reputation as one of Champ Rugby’s most competitive and progressive sides, while continuing to strengthen its infrastructure and long-term sustainability.
The cinch Stand will enhance the matchday experience for supporters and visitors to Dillingham Park, while providing a lasting legacy as the club continues its journey both on and off the pitch.
Adding to the occasion, cinch ambassadors and England internationals Fin Smith and Tommy Freeman attended the event to officially open the cinch Stand, posing for photographs and signing memorabilia during the celebrations.
Nick Johnston, CEO of Ampthill Rugby Club, said:
“To be partnering with such a recognised and respected national brand is a tremendous endorsement of the progress we continue to make as a club.
The opening of the cinch Stand is a major statement of intent for Ampthill Rugby Club and reflects the ambition we have for the future.
As a Champ Rugby club, we are continually looking at ways to strengthen both our playing programme and our facilities, ensuring we can compete at the highest level while delivering an outstanding experience for our supporters.
We’re delighted to welcome cinch to the club and look forward to building a successful long-term relationship together.”
Megan Norton, Group PR & Communications Manager at cinch, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Ampthill Rugby Club at such an exciting stage of its journey.
The club has built a strong reputation both on and off the field, underpinned by clear ambition and a commitment to sustainable growth and the community.
The cinch Stand is a visible symbol of those ambitions, and we’re proud to support the club as it continues to develop and compete at the highest level of Champ Rugby.
We look forward to playing our part in the club’s continued success in the years ahead.”
The launch of the cinch Stand, alongside cinch’s presence on playing and training kit, represents another important step in Ampthill Rugby Club’s long-term vision, supporting continued investment in facilities, performance, and sustainable growth.
