After a thrilling local derby against Blues last week, Ampthill make the longest away trip of the season to face in form Cornish Pirates on The Mennaye Field tomorrow afternoon.
Head Coach Paul Turner makes four changes to the starting fifteen this week, one in the front row and three in the backs division. James Johnston starts at tighthead this week with Dom Hardman moving to the bench with the rest of the pack unchanged.
Turner again rotates his scrum-halves with Rory Morgan getting the nod this week alongside last week’s man of the match Luke Davidson at fly-half. Byron Sharwood and Mason Cullen replace Oran McNulty and Jack Bracken on the wings with leading try-scorer Josh Barton again at full-back. Captain Fraser Strachan and Sione Va’enuku continue their partnership in midfield.
Before travelling to Penzance this morning, Head Coach Paul Turner said “It’s our last away game of the season and the players have been looking forward to it. We’ve had some great battles with the Pirates over the past few seasons. Saturday will be no different”
