Early September seems a long time ago now. A new group of players and coaches came together for the 2017/18 U6’s, some returning for their senior year, others taking their first steps in the game. Our mission at the start of the season was for the players to learn some basic rugby skills but most of all to have FUN – fair to say we have done both in bucket loads!! The players have been fantastic and really thrown themselves in to everything we’ve asked them to do – obstacle courses, sharks & fishes and the traditional session ending game of bulldog have been particular favourites.
U6’s are possibly the only team in the club with an unbeaten record for the entire season, which is some feat… not playing any games helps but we won’t let that get in the way of a good stat!
It’s been wonderful to see how the players, coaches and parents have all come together as a great team over the season and I would like to thank everyone for their contributions.
Looking forward to next season already.
