U6 End Of Season Report 2015-2016

An amazing first season of rugby has been had by all in the Under 6 Team. The children have been brilliantly behaved, but above all have displayed true sportsman qualities such as determination and perseverance. The winter months can be hard on the younger players!
We have been fortunate to have the support of a fantastic team of coaches. I would like to thank Heather Sharrock, Russ Pitts, Anita Jarrett, Tony Barkell, Matt Ford, Steve Covington, Eric Murray, Stephen Nolan, Paul Dean, Ben Rodger-Brown, Wayne Creamer and Alistair Middleton for their commitment and dedication throughout the season.
We’ve held a joint training session with Bedford Junior Blues – the first away session for the children. It was a great day and wonderful to see so many families enjoying rugby.
We have also had a successful year in terms of fundraising, raising over £1000. This money has purchased training equipment such as agility ladders and poles. In addition, in recognition of the player’s weekly commitment, at such a young age, we rewarded them with their first rugby social, at Kidsworld Bedford. It was brilliant to see the children engaging socially off the pitch, and gave the parents a chance to have a coffee in the warmth for a change!
Parents have also shown commitment throughout the season through supporting their children and the club by volunteering for parking and club house duties. Thank you.
We look forward to welcoming the children back in the new season.
