Ampthill Rugby Club can today confirm the departure of Sione Vaenuku to Saracens.
The 23-year-old joined the Mob in the 2024/25 Champ Season after making the code switch from league to union.

The centre made a massive impact in the Champ seeing the Tongan score 17 times in 39 appearances across the Elior Champ and Prem Cup.

He has seen his pace, power and impressive performances rewarded with a player of the round recognition and has proven to be one of the most effective midfielders in the league.

His move to Saracens continues to show the strong relationship between the two sides with Sione stepping up from the Proving Ground.

Head Coach, Dave Ward, was full of praise for the Tongan centre who played a significant role in the Mobs season last year.
He said: “Sione had a fantastic season last year and was rightly voted our player of the season, we are delighted for him to be joining Saracens after impressing their coaching team with his play at Dillingham Park. This will only strengthen our link with Saracens as we see the pathway from Champ to Prem develop”
