With our second season of tackling our players have continued to learn and develop their skills with enthusiasm this year. We also introduced rucking in September which we have worked on throughout the year testing our skills with the numerous ‘friendlies’ that have been organised. The boys and girls have been praised by a number of visiting coaches. The majority of our matches showed us in a favourable light to Ampthill and only lost once!
We attended the Peterborough Festival and had some good matches. We also welcomed a number of new players who have settled in well and are now an integral part of the U10 team.
We took 27 players on tour to Gt Yarmouth this year and had two successful triangulars on both days which resulted in some great rugby being played. Opposing coaches remarked how strong our players were, even if smaller in size than some of the giants we met! Our mixed teams worked really well together and everyone had to step up and get involved and all of the coaches were proud to be associated with these teams.
I would like to thank all of the parents, grandparents and carers as always for their support bringing along the players to matches and training sessions in all weather conditions this year.
Coaches – thank you for turning up and continuing to help progress our players
Well Done U10s!
