Cinderford Return To Dillingham Park
Ampthill welcome Cinderford to Dillingham Park on Saturday for the first time since season 2015/16.
Founded in 1886, the visitors lie 7th in National 1 with a played 7 won 4 record having defeated Plymouth Albion at home last week 15-12.
Relegated to National 2 South at the end of season 2015-16 their promotion as last year’s Champions of National 2 South has been marked by very competitive performances having secured a losing bonus point in all three of their defeats this season.
Cinderford’s team shows three changes from last week with Dom Coetzer (full back), James Elliot (tight head) & Joe Mullis (open side) all rotating to the starting XV from the bench.
Ampthill’s narrow loss (19-18) away at Caldy last week was marked by poor game control in very windy conditions leaving them with a played 7 won 3 record, 3pts and 3 places behind the visitors.
Changes to the home starting XV this week include Carl Burgess (lock), Joe Bercis (open side), Josh Sharp (fly half), Ollie Morris (outside centre) and Ciaran Whyte (full back) while Syd Blackmore (hooker) and Sean Reffell (flanker) rotate to the bench and Jack Culverhouse comes in to cover the front row.
