For the first time since Sunday, March 15th 2020 the Jets were at home and enjoyed a win against Harpenden 2s.
As this correspondent was running touch (badly with one good knee) match details are not included in this report.
First, we should acknowledge Harpenden who despite having lots of players unavailable made sure they got a squad together to travel. True rugby spirit.
Great to see a joint second-row debut from Will and Chris, plus the return of Chris ‘Moose’ Moore and Paul Mason.
Joint men of the match, Fynn and Young Ethan, the former for his game control and the latter for a solid first 80-minute shift.
It pains me to report that ‘Richard’ of the Day goes to coach Jonny Cresswell who took a quick tap penalty from 5 metres out only to spill the ball over the line.
Great to be back home, next week we are back at Dillingham Park for a rearranged league match against Fullerians from Watford.
Thank you to Barry for covering the game and some great images!
