Stefan Liebenberg & Lawrence Rayner Sign For 2017/18
DoR Mark Lavery is delighted to confirm that Cambridge Captain Stefan Liebenberg & Nottingham’s Lawrence Rayner have joined the National 1 squad for 2017-18.
Scrum Half Stefan, 33, joins from Cambridge, with 240+ games in the Championship (Bedford Blues) and National 1 (Cambridge & Old Albanian) as well as multiple appearances for Hertfordshire and England Counties, Stefan brings a wealth of experience and game management to Ampthill. An archetypal half back his leadership qualities will aid on field decision making.

Fly-half Lawrence, 25, joins from Nottingham, with 80+ appearances in the Championship (Nottingham & Plymouth Albion) and 50+ for Old Albanian in National 1 he is another who brings to Ampthill the skill set and experience of playing at a higher level. Lawrence, who has a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science and is studying for an MSc, has scored more than 500pts in his National league career.
